What We Did: Put in new sheetrock on the bottom 1/3 of the room, textured, painted, & faux finish on walls, laid laminate flooring, new moulding, and furniture.
This ranch style home with below grade has 2200 total square feet and a little more than 1/4 of an acre of land. It has a fully fenced back yard with a large covered patio. Now that we got our hands on it, it has a garden spot (of course). And it has a two car attached garage.
The main level is finished and in good condition, just needing some upgrades, which we plan to do. This level has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, kitchen, and laundry room.
The basement had a flooding problem over a year before we bought it. The carpet has been removed, leaving just the cement for the floor. And the sheetrock walls were cut out and removed about 2 feet from the floor around the entire basement. With not too much work, it will be a family room, large storage room, bathroom, and two more bedrooms.
